Earlier this week, Dr. Charlie McCormick and I traveled to Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary on behalf of Schreiner University to participate in the inaugural gathering for the Center for the Arc of Ministry. It was an inspiring opportunity to sit around the table with our institutional partners to shape the vision and operational plans for our shared future. We were thrilled to connect in person with visionary leaders and colleagues from Austin College, the Hispanic Youth Leadership Academy (HYLA), Menaul School, and Presbyterian Pan American School. We also kept our partners from Huston-Tillotson University close in our thoughts throughout our discussions. Having personally contributed to the grant proposal that successfully secured the $10 million funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. last December, witnessing this collaborative vision finally materialize is deeply rewarding. Dr. McCormick and I are incredibly optimistic about the transformative impact this partnership will bring. As we actively prepare Schreiner University’s specific sub-project, the Pre-Seminary initiative, I am particularly excited to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table to enrich our students experiences. Furthermore, it is a profound honor to serve as the Advisory Board Liaison for the Arc of Ministry. I am eagerly looking forward to helping lead and navigate this incredible project alongside our esteemed partners, empowering high school and college students to explore their vocational callings through experiential and cohort-based learning. Please stay tuned as Schreiner University continues to share updates on this exciting journey with our future leaders! #austinptesbyteriantheologicalseminary #calling #leadership #vocation #SchreinerUniversity #pathway #highereducation
