Rooted in the Latin word for “blessed,” the Benedictus is a sacred tradition at Schreiner University where we pause to celebrate and bless our incoming students and their families at this momentous threshold.

As in previous years, we are hosting three separate Benedictus ceremonies to accommodate the staggered arrival schedules of our athletic teams and incoming cohorts. Yesterday marked our very first ceremony of the season, creating a deeply meaningful and emotional milestone as parents and students took time to speak heartfelt blessings over one another. Families released their students with pride and trust, while our students stepped forward with courage, faith, and purpose into this new chapter. As they join our community, we extend our warmest blessings of peace and assurance to parents, and of wisdom, resilience, and boundless curiosity to our students.
